The ACM Ibadan Nigeria Chapter is the local chapter providing Computer and Information Technology support to Nigerians through networking forum, conferences, workshop, professional development and certification training. We also link our members with colleagues all over the world

Ibadan ACM Chapter hosts free short-course, workshop, and roundtables in the areas of big data, design thinking & collaborative problem-solving, and women in technology.

Ibadan ACM Chapter in collaboration with UI department of Computer Science presents a free short-course, workshop, and roundtables in the areas of big data, design thinking & collaborative problem-solving, and women in technology.

Date: July 10-15 2017.
Venue: University of Ibadan
Sponsored by the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), the Very Large Data Bases (VLDB) Endowment fund, Google, and Stanford University, the course will be offered by Professor Jennifer Widom (http://www.professorwidom.org/), a Stanford computer science professor, school of engineering dean, and MOOC pioneer. She began the odyssey full-time during her 2016-17 sabbatical and plans to continue on an occasional basis.

Free lunch, coffee, tea and snacks will be provided to all participants. In addition, Travel stipend, free accommodation and meals will be provided for students that attend.
